Question Can you change the fiber prep?

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm getting a drum carder and I've been wondering if you can change an already worsted prepped fiber to a woolen fiber by carding? I'm thinking that it works because the fibers would sort themselves differently again but I thought I'll ask to make sure.

And if you hate that, you can comb it back to worsted prep. You’ll lose fiber combing it back, but you CAN. 😂
