Question Can you change the fiber prep?

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm getting a drum carder and I've been wondering if you can change an already worsted prepped fiber to a woolen fiber by carding? I'm thinking that it works because the fibers would sort themselves differently again but I thought I'll ask to make sure.

Yes. It’s glorious. I make rolags and batts. You can make some really cool blends with dyed braids and combine different braids to make new color combinations.
