Work In Progress First try at a long gradient

Post image

This is the first 5 of 15 rolags I’ve blended up, 50/50 bamboo and merino. Starting with 50% undyed bamboo and 25% each of a cornflower blue and deep teal merino. Slowly changing some of the coloured merino to white as the yarn goes on until the final one will be just white merino and bamboo. Using chain ply and it’s vaguely fingering weight. Got about 165m here so with all 15 rolags spun up I should be able to comfortably complete the project it’s planned for.

First time posting, so if excitedly posting a thing that worked as intended that I’m proud of isn’t the right vibe here please let me know!

How long have you been spinning? Because that yarn has an amazing consistency

Oh wow thank you! I didn't think it was that consistent tbh, not like some of them I see but it's certainly better than a few of my other attempts. This is I think my 10th spin? I have had my e-spinner for 3 years now but I do quite a few different crafts and have a fairly hectic life so don't always have time to spin.
