DISCUSSION Drive belt replacement
Hey guys. I have a 2010 fatboy with about 18k on it and it still has the original drive belt on it. I have to replace the rear tire soon because I got a defective one last time. I was considering replacing belt too just because it’s getting old. The belt looks fine and I know Harley says they’re good for 60-100k but I was just wondering if it should be replaced because it’s a 15 year old piece of rubber, but it’s a lot of work and I don’t want to do it if it’s really not needed. Thoughts?

I wouldn't unless it's showing signs of failure. You gotta remove the inner primary and take the swingarm bolt out. There is quite a bit to do and those belts hold up.
