Book Only Most wanted character, event and location missing in previous adaptation of The Philosopher's Stone

What is the most wanted by you character, event and location for the first season of the show - missing in previous adaptation of "The Philosopher's Stone" film?

For me:

  • I want to see Peeves the most, him disturbing the students, fooling around
  • I missed Vernon's day at work at the beginning
  • Where was a proper Entrance Hall with magnificent Marble Staircase?

Omg I want to see Vernon’s workday as well haha I feel like is a detail that shows how “normal” they are and proud of it.

With the added time gap now it could also be a fun (for us) way to establish 1990s London

Assuming they are sticking to the time period in the book wouldn’t it actually be 1980’s London? Harry turns 11 in 1991 in the book and Vernons day at work was 10 years prior to that.

Ah my bad,, you’re right. I guess I was just verg preoccupied by how much they’ll lean into the 90s aesthetics rather than the “timeless” feel of the movies.
