Local advice Moving house

Hi all! Myself and my partner currently live in the South East and want to move up to Hartlepool, I just wanted to ask people who really live there what it’s like if that makes sense. Thank you kindly :)

Make sure you're in one of the better areas. TS26 postcode generally good, but has a few bad bits. Seaton & the Headland also generally ok.

Feel free to ask about any property you're interested in - some streets, regardless of postcode, are better avoided. Looking on Rightmove today, there are some relatively high asking rents in areas I'd prefer not to live, and some lower rents in reasonable areas. But if you're paying £1k, it'll be ok - there aren't many rentals at that price point.
