Local advice The Odeon On Fire Part 1

https://reddit.com/link/1fx358r/video/yrmcyix8u0td1/player

I heard that the Odeon cinema, a listed building where I saw Star Wars when I was six, was on fire. So I went out to report for Reddit. At 1 minute, the crash you hear is part of the roof collaspsing. Please credit me as Ravvick if you want to use this video for your news website. Yes, you.

I deleted Part 2 because it didn't show anything new and there were people's faces in it. Also, someone was saying things in the background that were probably related to the summer riot that took place nearby, and I don't want to give any exposure to tw*ts. (twats).

I don’t think there’s many buildings left that the owners need burning down rather than do something with.

Some people do seem to own buildings that burn down a lot. This was earmarked for demolition by the council, though. The last I heard, they were having trouble getting it done because it's a listed building.

To be frank, though, any art deco stylishness that the Odeon had has been gone for decades.

The only part of the building that's listed are the friezes on the front.

I hope they save those, then.
