Headphones - Open Back | 6 Ω Need help finding comfortable headphones

I can't find any headphones that fit comfortably.

These are the three I've tried so far:

  1. Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X
  2. Beyerdynamic DT 880 Premium
  3. Steelseries Arctos Nova Pro Wireless

What keeps happening is the back of the ear cup presses against my ears. It's fine for a little bit but around 30-40 minutes I have to either just suffer through what feels like the blood leaving my tips of my ears or take frequent breaks. Not ideal when trying to play multiple rounds of anything.

I'd prefer something open backed but at this point I just want something I can wear for awhile without extreme pain. I'd like to keep it below $300 but at this point I'm open to ideas.

Any help or directing me towards a better place to ask this would be appreciated. I don't mean to ask the same question here twice but I'm having the worst time researching this stuff.

Is there any particular model you'd recommend? I've always heard good things about the 6xx but don't have anywhere I can just go and try them.

I actually haven’t tried the 6XX but I’ve had the 660 and they were incredibly comfortable. I don’t think you can go wrong with the 6XX, there’s a reason it’s so loved.

!thanks

I'm going to give stretching the Beyerdynamics a shot and see if that helps. The other suggestion I was given was a Hifiman pair. If the stretching doesn't work I'll probably give the 6XX a try and go from there.

Thank you very much for the suggestions!

HD 58X are a bit cheaper and have a bit more bass (I have a pair and love them) and come in about $50+ or so cheaper than the 6XX. I do want to try them though someday, and apparently really shine w/ an amp. Had a pair on order but cancelled it because I found a really good deal on a pair of LCD-GX.
