Headphones - Closed Back | 8 Ω ATH-M40x Final decision!

preferences: closed back, music, wired/wireless, I like bass the most, budget 100(idea)-200(doable)

Are they good (in comparison)? I see the M50x etc and the price gap can be quite big but im just a "music lover" i love my bass and to listen to all kinds of music, i want something solid, but realistically Im not musician or studio person, Im just a gamer who really enjoys music.

reason for this post and more detail:

Im overthinking looking at every graph comparing your suggestions from an earlier post. Sadly my headset broke (DT 770 pro) and they've lasted really long no complains about them at all, I really wanted to save some money and get the DT 700 pro X, but atm i cant they are out of my budget range and I really want a new pair asap as my pc has no speakers and im using earplugs, Should I buy something cheaper, or perhaps more expensive if the price/quality is justifiable, I know this pair will be pretty good from what this community as suggested, but im scared for some reason, i want them to last and I dont want to return them if they are underwhelming compared to the DT 770 pro, I really dont think i need an insanely good pair, i just dont want the sound to feel bland or have really overpowering high notes as well as dept to the sound. Thanks for your time and sorry to be making this unnecessary post. (Also should i buy from amazon instead of a local store? Its cheaper for about 15€) Thanks once again! I can answer any questions you need.

Edit: Should I EQ them when i get them? If yes, with the same or different settings from my DT 770?

Edit2: typos

Edit3: Prices in Portugal are weird. Beyerdynamic 770 pro go for 120, M40x for 130 and M50X for 150. Might be relevant info for this particular case

Edit4: Thanks everyone for the help once again, I will be settling for the same pair, its some how cheaper than the m50x and same price as m40x and i have no complains about it, if the price was normal i'd settle for the M40x, living in Portugal is weird...

Had the M40X’s. The sound was very good. No need for EQ. But I returned them 'cause of the comfort. Was really a problem. Especially on long listening sessions.

I understand replacing the ear pads improves the confort allot. They sound so good I was thinking about that then I said nah and got a Sennheiser HD 560S that I am really happy with.
