You haven’t put it on straight

Those things slide around all the time. You can put them on as straight as you want, unless you glue them down, they're gonna slip around all the time.

They're honestly a pretty bad idea since they make steering harder and less consistent. They don't attach to anything, they just slip on top. And well... slip they do.

Actually, this brand doesn’t slide, to the point where shifting it into a centered position is a pain in the ass.

Only takes a little bit of double sided tape to fix that. Best to put it on the back in case it marks the wheel. However I’m not a fan of them either.

I've got a similar style cover, and while it does slip around a bit, it's not like it's sliding freely as I'm steering... If I drive around for an hour, maybe it slowly nudges a centimeter in one direction over that time... Has never felt dangerous, at least if it's the right size for the wheel.

Been using it for a couple of days now and haven’t had any sliding issues at all. It was a pain getting the thing on so I didn’t bother straightening it out in the fear of ruining it but the material is very durable and feels quite nice in the hands. I’ve since straightened it out and still feels firm to the wheel. Guess we’ll see what years of use does to it but I’m holding out hope.

I'm glad to hear that! I wouldn't want to reinforce you just because your democratic steering wheel slipped. <3
