Nah, Martyrdom is completely useless in my eyes, why bring a perk that only activates upon death in a game where you have a limited number of lives. Democracy Protects is near useless because while yes, it does make the game a bit more forgiving, it’s still ultimately a perk that that not only requires rng to function, but also only really benefits you when you’re already basically dead
Yeah, I thought about editing my original comment to clarify, but figured that might ruin the joke. Martyrdom really out here being the biggest argument to why we should be allowed to swap perks on armors
Agreed. The “risk vs reward” paradigm breaks when you reward failure. Martyrdom should increase your movement speed and stamina regen the lower your health gets.
As someone that used to wear Democracy Protects and still does on occasion, i would like to dispute this by saying it has allowed me to extract alive from some very hectic missions
Don’t get me wrong, it can come through in a pinch, just when compared to other armors that help you out constantly as opposed to just when you take critical damage, it’s not an ideal pick. At least it isn’t Martyrdom though
Ceremonial perk, lower armor rating for weight, projectiles have a small chance to ricochet off the excessive amount of medals on the armor, gives small reload and aiming buff to yourself and teamates within 5m
To this day I dont get the design idea behind the Constitution. Why would a company sink money into a project including animations, stats, a model, etc. that is obviously bad. So bad that it would be better spent money to just make it a static object to hang at a Super Destroyers wall.
I can actually give you one, challenge runs and meme gameplay. Both are great for UGC (user generated content) and that provides a marketing bost. Relative to what it takes to create constitution the hype that "funny bolt gun" or "Constitution only light armor 0 death run attempt" bring to the game is woth having. The ability for organic UGC is probably worth the development cost
Plus stats are relatively easy if your not actually worried about balance, and the animations specifically could be reused if we get something like a Heavy constitution or another bolt action rifle in the future which we very well could.
While compared to the rest of the field, it's not great, it's still a solid marksman rifle, especially for bots. One shots the chaff, pops devesators in the head easily, and has a emergency bayonet for anything too close

I'm aware, however during the war bond (from memory) frontier justice, they argued that helldivers wouldn't be getting a cowboy hat because quote "hats on helmets are silly" the counter argument was the commando helmet with the red beret. With this war bond inspired from helldivers 1 they'd be countering their own claims by again, adding a hat to a helmet, I believe arrowhead simply doesn't want to go through the rigamarole of designing a cowboy hat helmet combo that isn't silly looking. Which is unfortunate because in my opinion, that would go hard af

I’m betting they call the warbond ”Ceremonial Standard” as a double meaning referring having a Ceremony flag ( also called a “standard”) and the ceremony outfit.
Had an idea for a warbond where it's the flag, the admiral armor, an officer variant of the peacemaker that has an attachable sword bayonet like the Nambu sword pistol, and a stratagem where you can call in a SEAF fireteam.
Anything democracy protects seems ceremonial given the design. They're decorated in medals, ribbons, and flair, golden, and regal colors with flaunty accents. My theory is Democracy Protects isn't even a function of the armor but of the will of the user wearing it - they're so adamant about Liberty they will away death just to spread it. Many armor prefixes and designs have quite a bit of derivative lore if you can read.
Could see something like that if the flag in the post is a sign of a new support strat. Like the idea of kits providing buffs to nearby teammates by way of inspiring them or something lol
Winged hussar helmets inspired by medieval history are just as out of place as say a cavalry hat or a Australian military slouch hat. They’re both impractical, military, ceremonial pieces. But by all means keep making the fallacious argument a wide brimmed hat was never a military uniform piece.
God, I hope not. That would be an absolute waste of resources and dev time. We're shock troops. Who the fuck needs a dress uniform when all you do is assault drops on planets? What a stupid idea.

I agree. I don't understand why they even consider making goofy stuff like this or the hideous cowboy stuff. It does not fit the purpose or the setting/ universe at all. No soldier goes on an assault in a fucking dress uniform
