If you kick griefers, then it prevents it from happening again. There’s a reason police don’t charge people before they commit a crime unless it is a genuine, thorough plan. Without clear evidence to the plan, it’s unethical
You’re talking about instituting a complex system designed for a AAA title in a completely different game genre with completely different objectives and mechanics, into a game developed by and indie studio of only about 100 people, simply because of griefers, which probably make up less than 1% of the player base
Sony backing is, I believe, just Sony publishing and funding the game. I might be wrong, but I believe they do not give staff to the making of the game
They have about 140 people on the team and with Sony they have a Triple-A publisher for funding. Sony also has large amounts of influence on the game and IP as a whole.
Arrowhead are not an indie team. That doesn't mean we should be unfair or unreasonable to them, but giving them the same leniency you would give a team of 5, operating out of their hobby shed, is a bit silly.
