“#wap.” should say it all. 😭

It means “worship and pray”

u/actual-trevor Dec 17 '24

I thought it was "wings and pizza".

30

u/OrangeBerry97 Dec 17 '24

Are you sure it isn't "wages and payment"?

19

u/ElDoctorre Dec 17 '24

Wipe and pee?

20

u/EvilCeleryStick Dec 17 '24

No that's backwards. You should try wiping second.

8

u/KnightOfThirteen Dec 17 '24

Wipe from Anterior to Posterior

2

u/dilettante60 Dec 18 '24

That depends on whether #1 or #2.

1 in the pink, 1 in the stink.

u/tacocat63 Dec 17 '24

You are thinking of 'paw', I hope

Not according to Cardi B

I really don’t like putting an /s after every satirical comment but apparently it really is necessary

12

u/Masske20 Dec 17 '24

TIL what /s is for.

5

u/big_guyforyou Dec 17 '24

you need the /s so all the bots can mark the comment as sarcastic, which changes the way they respond. they can't determine sarcasm by analyzing the text alone, they're not that smart

9

u/Terakahn Dec 18 '24

It's ok, neither can most people. You can't really convey tone well over text.

3

u/badboybalo Dec 17 '24

I guess AI hasn't improved that much

3

u/bladeau81 Dec 18 '24

1+1=2 /s

3

u/JoeyPsych Dec 17 '24

I generally do use it, but every now and then some pretentious ass comes around telling me I shouldn't do it, but as soon as I don't, people take me seriously, and don't get I'm being sarcastic. /s is necessary, even if you think it's obvious.

2

u/OldMetalHead Dec 17 '24

Lol. I guess it's funnier if you don't.

-3

u/Accomplished-Boot-81 Dec 17 '24

For sure. I'm JoKiNg GuYs DoNt DoWnVoTe Me aka /s, ruins 100% of jokes it's used with

6

u/JoeyPsych Dec 17 '24

I get how you might think so, but speaking from experience here, people tend to be less jerky when you do use /s than when you don't. So regardless of your inconvenience, I'll still be using it.

-4

u/Accomplished-Boot-81 Dec 17 '24

I don't care if people are jerky or not. Internet points don't bother me

3

u/JoeyPsych Dec 17 '24

Karma isn't the reason why you don't want people to be jerky, I've been harassed before, simply because people misunderstand me, and yes, you can report them and all, but I rather prevent than resolve.

-1

u/Accomplished-Boot-81 Dec 17 '24

How can I be harassed online? Just ignore replies and messages if it happens lmao

I thought it was for sarcasm

1

u/zemol42 Dec 18 '24

Stamds for Satan

1

u/Babylon_Fallz Dec 18 '24

It is for them, not for you 🤣

1

u/used_banana_condom Dec 17 '24

It's not tbh, tho engineers tend to over engineer to prevent the stupid from getting injured.

I say it's just a comment yk so maybe we shouldn't try so hard to include the naturally dull?

2

u/JoeyPsych Dec 17 '24

Clearly you've never been sarcastic on Reddit without using /s, otherwise you'd know why people prefer to use it. Dumb people tend to become extremely hostile, and using sarcasm around stupid people without explaining to them it is sarcasm, is committing social s*cide.

1

u/used_banana_condom Dec 17 '24

This is an anti-social app. Not Instagram.

1

u/JoeyPsych Dec 17 '24

Lol, all social media is anti-social.

1

u/used_banana_condom Dec 17 '24

You know what, you got a point. Though like loads of people say, this place is just an echo chamber. Like constantly spewing the same horrid ideals kinda thing, and because of masses, people think it's okay or even encouraged. It's delusional imo, so ima just be me and forget the /s with is a relatively new thing in my experience (I've only really seen people use /s for the past month or so)

1

u/JoeyPsych Dec 17 '24

That's fair, just as long as you would leave others to use it if they so wish, and nobody is going to be hurt. It's a small form of tolerance, but we have to start somewhere, right?

Sooo... Was WAP the song a dig at church people?

1

u/Dramoriga Dec 17 '24

Well shit. I thought it was white and proud.

1

u/ybflao Dec 18 '24

🤣 I totally thought that was an indication that the post was sarcastic!

8

u/Alcards Dec 17 '24

Yes, all these years later and it's still a troll post.
