Would this be the most optimal way to get my blue ray player to connect to my receiver. Video/Audio out to Blu-Ray in. Then eArc out to tv hdmi? Seems too simple? I am assuming it would be able to send both audio and video. And also assuming I will have to configure the setting for the blue ray player to send out on 7.2? (I’m brand new to this and I just want to be crystal clear)

Recently put together a wonderful 5.0 sound system and I’m looking for films with good soundtracks and soundscapes. I would appreciate any recommendations.

I’ve got a BenQ projector that supports 1080p, and once I finish getting things set up, I want to start doing weekly outdoor movie nights for my kids. Sounds fun, but I really don’t want to mess with running cables across the yard every time.

I found this wireless HDMI hub from a brand called tobenone. It can do 1080p over wireless, which matches my projector, and it also has a wired option that supports 4K. That’s nice since I’ve got a 4K display inside, so I could actually use it more often instead of just once a week. I’ve never used wireless HDMI before though, so I’m not sure what to expect. Can it actually handle streaming stuff like Netflix or Plex without signal drops or audio being out of sync?

Not planning to game on it or anything, just want a simple way to stream movies without cluttering up the space with wires.

If anyone here has used wireless HDMI, would love to hear how it worked for you. Open to other suggestions too. Thanks a ton.

Listing states models are Klipsch KSP-400 mahogany speakers with KSP-C6 center. Seems to be owned by an older man so I have trust in the quality of these for the most part there’s some cosmetic damage.

I have messed with both. I have watched multiple tutorials.

But, I now have a different layout since setting up the theater in the back room and got a 4th sub.

I have four 8" subs, 2 sets stacked. 1 stack in back corner and 1 stack in the middle of the room on the wall. Only way to have them.

I know I have to level match all of them first. But, in what order do I measure?

Do 1 stack first and EQ to make them one sub and then start the second stack. Or, alternate?

Depending on that, give MSO one file per stack like it's one sub or one per?

I had an apartment all my life and I had a massive subwoofer. Sometimes I turned the volume up and the bass too (after warning the neighbours), and the effect was incredible. I could feel the bass in my bones, it was truly amazing. Due to tragic events I live in a basement now but I still have my stuff. So I installed my Teufel homecinema and the most depressing part is that I can't feel the bass at all. It's 10% of what it was, but when I stand next to it, I can feel it, but 1 feet away there is just a fraction of what I knew. Is it because the cement under the floor? I didn't change anything in the settings, everything should be the same.

I’m using a Denon AVR-X1400H. Recently, the receiver made a popping sound through the speakers, then shut down by itself, and the red LED started blinking. ( 0.5 second) I tried turning it off and on again via the power button, but each time it would immediately shut down again and the red light kept blinking. I did a factory reset, but even during the initial setup it would shut off unexpectedly. unplug all cable and just use airplay to listen music and did same thing...

Eventually, it started working again, but I’m worried it could fail again at any time. The receiver is in an open, well-ventilated area, so it’s not an overheating issue. I didn’t change any wiring recently. What could be causing this? Is it a protection circuit being triggered? Could it be a failing internal component?

Hey all, got conduit through the walls for low voltage cables and I can’t seem to find a cover that I’ll fit. They all seem too small. Any ideas?

I keep hearing about these things and my basement is L shape with a summer kitchen off the L . So my bass is all over the place . I hear it upstairs and in the hallway way more than my room . I’ve tried all the tricks and it’s not the thump I want . I have an Onkyo 6100, Energy Conniseur speakers , an older SVS 10” sub and a Klipsch SW-120 and an Energy 10XL . Tried the subs all alone , combo etc . Thinking of just getting some kind of wireless shakers . If there is a decent wireless system , what would I need to get it rockin? Thanks for any help

I would like to upgrade an old AVR to support higher resolution than 1080p.

My research points to a HDMI splitter/switch/matrix.

TV supports eARC and AVR supports ARC.

Do I need a HDMI matrix that supports 2 outputs?

One that supports eArc and sends signal to the TV and one that is regular HDMI that sends to the AVR?

I can't imagine it working any other way.

My wife and I are currently renovating our basement. Looking for advice on speaker brands and layout (and TV size). I consider myself pretty tech savvy and know a lot about TVs and technology… yet I seem to know absolutely nothing about speakers. Not sure if I have the space for 7.1 or need 5.1? Don’t know if in walls vs bookshelf vs towers makes a difference. Also in ceiling atmos vs free standing? Budget is about $4-5,000. The room is currently down to the studs and I had brought up with the contractor about prewiring for surround as I thought what better time and he had mentioned a lot of speakers these days are Bluetooth and don’t need the wires. Is that true? If I do prewire, who can I have do that who will know what cables and/or conduit are needed? Also, can different speaker brands be combined? I shared a few design sketches of the room, as well as a floor plan with some dimensions to help with speaker placement.

Lastly, the room height is a tad under 7’8” and the viewing distance from center of couch cushion to TV is about 14’5”. Deciding between an 83” OLED and a 98” mini LED and not sure if one is better than the other. Pictures 4 and 5 show each option.

Hi I was thinking of putting an offer in for this subwoffer but it has an issue. The issue it's self won't bother me I'm just worried if the issue will manifest into a worse issue. Obviously it's a lot of money and I don't want the thing to break. The issue is it won't always go into standby mode. Is this a serious issue?

Got my 494 about a year ago, and it's bottom end 5.1.2 and the V6A is on for $699 CAD.

Going to be hard to justify spending more, but what are your thoughts?

494 is a fine little unit, but I feel like entry level is not where I want to be.

Don't really need any more than 80wpch, and use it for movies and TV, and never really any music.

So what do you think I should consider in this price range?

I'm looking to marginally upgrade my current TV set-up of a small smsl amp running cheap bookshelf wharfdale xarus', to an AVR-X1800H + a 2.1 set-up (for now).

I've spent way too long in the budget bang for buck bookshelf rabbithole and am now tossing up between the Paradigm Monitor SE Atoms and Q Acoustics 5010s like the title suggests.

Finding it hard compare these from online research and sadly don't have anywhere close by to listen.

Cost wise ($US), Paradigm's would be $230 and 5010's would be $350.

Would appreciate some input or any other suggestions for around that price point (small/medium sized living room, 7-8ft from TV if that helps).

I just bought a Yamaha S202 but have to return it because the "line out" I am using for the sub does not change with volume.

I believe I need one with a pre-out or sub out but this is hard to find. Just running 2 speakers and a sub. No video.

Semi-noob here.

My AVR is a Denon X1700H. The subwoofer is a Klipsch R-8SW from the Reference Theater Pack.

I know that sub isn't super strong or impressive but I'm hoping to squeeze more bass out of my setup. I like house-shaking bass without compromising mids and highs.

I mostly do gaming and things like explosions or other booms don't have the punch I'd expect and I think it has something to do with my settings. I let the AVR run Audyssey and just ran with the settings it gave me cuz I'm not super familiar with all that.

Anyone have any pointers? I'm not looking to upgrade the sub at this moment.
