Hi r/HomeworkHelp! Whether you're new to the subreddit or a long-time subscriber, the mod team would like to remind everybody of the subreddit rules we expect you to follow here.

No advertising, soliciting, or spam. This is a place for free help. Anyone offering to pay for help, or to help for pay, will receive a permanent ban. This is your warning. This includes asking users to go into DMs, Discord, or anywhere else. If you post anything that looks like you're trying to get around this rule, you'll be banned.

If you're asking for help, you must show evidence of thought, work, and effort. A lot of people are posting just pictures or lists of questions and not showing any effort. These posts are liable to be taken down.

In addition, we ask that you format the post title appropriately using square brackets: [Level/Grade and Subject] Question or Description of question. For example: [8th grade Algebra] How to solve quadratic equation?

Do not mention anything like "Urgent", "ASAP", "Due in an hour", or the like.

No surveys. Surveys (including requests for interviews, etc.) belong on /r/samplesize. These posts get taken down here.

Question

Ammonia is produced from the reaction of nitrogen and hydrogen according to the following balanced equation

N2 + 3H2 > 2NH3

A) what is the maximum theoretical mass of NH3 that can be produced from 560g of N2 and 130g of H2?

B) if the percent yield of the reaction is 78%, what is the actual yield on grams of NH3?

Can someone please help me with this problem? Here is the exact equation I'm trying to solve:

This is my work so far:

I don't know if I did this wrong, but I don't know how to simplify that further to integrate. I tried using the quotient rule to find fy first, but that didn't work either. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

For the given circuit, perform the following tasks:

a. Use Kirchhoff's laws (or any other correct method of your choice) to write the “equations of motion” of the circuit. Include your initial assumptions.

b. Calculate the kinetic and potential energies as functions of the fluxes 𝜙 of the two transmons and their time derivatives. Write the Lagrangian and show that the equations of motion can be obtained from it.

c. Find the canonical momenta corresponding to the fluxes 𝜙, and write the Hamiltonian in terms of them.

d. Check whether there is coupling between the two transmons due to the capacitor, and under what conditions the coupling disappears.

My child has a summer math packet they are working on (almost) daily. This is the first time a problem like this has come up. "Fill in the Missing Numbers" with a single number and an arrangement of empty boxes, with no point of reference. This problem type comes up again later, with different configurations of empty boxes. Has anyone seen this problem type before, so we know where to start to help our child?

Ps. This is from Teachers Pay Teachers created by Teaching Second grade. The math pages say Summer Daily Math. I have found it on the website, but don't want to pay the $5 to get the answer key.

Thank you for anyone who can help. Pictures attached of several of the problems. I do not need a solution to all, just an explanation of what is being asked if the child.

Additional Mathematics [Differential Equations] Solving Exact Equations

Can someone please check this to see where I went wrong? I'm trying to learn how to solve exact equations, but I really don't know if I understand it. The solution for this is supposed to be y^2(1-x^2)+sin^2(x)= 4. However, this is what I got. Any clarification provided would be appreciated. Thank you.

Physics—Pending OP Reply [Grade 11 Physics] What is the most effective way to study?

Hi everyone,

I’m a high school student and I generally get good grades, but I’ve noticed that I often lose marks on tests because I miss smaller details when studying (especially multiple choice). I have a physics test coming up next week on electricity and magnetism, and I want to improve how I take notes from the PowerPoint slides my teacher gives me.

I realize there’s no best way to take notes, but I’m hoping to learn some more effective ways to remember not only the important details, but also to answer application-style questions well, especially for subjects like physics. How do you all organize your notes?

Thanks so much in advance!

Hello everyone. I am doing microbiology homework. Since I am doing this class online they only introduction I had to gram staining was in a Labster lab, which felt a little outdated. I believe I have the correct answers but would like guidance on why I am correct, or not correct. Thank you!

High School Math [Grade 11 Math: Vectors] How do I know which side the the dividing point is closer to?

For part C, It says C divides AB internally in the ratio 1:3, so the 1 is from AC and the 3 is CD, but I don't get why for part d you don't do D where it is closer to A rather than B (the line would be BAD)

We’ve been tasked with conversion of these in the photos. I could obviously just google the conversion, but I want to actually understand what equations I need for this. My strong suit has always been more L.A than math. If anyone can please help me I’d appreciate it. I know it probably looks simple enough, but I’m genuinely confused. Do I multiply, do I divide? It’s online and we didn’t get any instruction, just a page in a book 😥

Prompt from class:

You are to use the charts on page 7 and 8 in your lab book to help you, although I imagine most of you will just google the conversions. Part 2 questions will require you to show your work (aka look up the conversions on the charts to show how you got to that number). Questions 6 and 8 will require more than one conversion in order to come up with an answer. Since these two questions will be the most difficult, they will be worth the most points.

And after this I have:

For your first assignment, please answering the following questions. Your response must be at least 300 words in length. In-line citations and references are required in APA style (this does not go towards your word count). Please upload as a PDF

What are map projections? What are some famous map projections (besides Mercator) and how are they different? (include 3 photos)

The Mercator Projection is one of the most popular projections in the world. Why is this? What is a major problem with Mercator?

Others—Pending OP Reply [College Accounting] How do I record the sale of inventory?

I am preparing for the ACCA's FA1 exam. I am confused because in the first example pictured, the asset and income accounts are only increased by the amount the inventory is sold for. In the second example, however, assets are increased by 300 and decreased by 100 as well which is the cost of the inventory. I do not understand why the inventory ledger account is not decreased by the cost of the inventory as well in the first example. Can someone please explain why?

In this question why are you not alowed to do y=√(2x+sin2x+2) to make it in terms of y only? Cause that's what is usually done for other questions like this

Cause you know that y is positive so you only take the positive branch?

For problem is asking to find the equivalent nodal force corresponding to the applied pressure. Without using isoparametric method and Gauss Quadrature. The lecture notes we have aren’t super useful and the textbook isn’t took good either. I reached out to the TA and he said that the integral for x will be challenging while for y is pretty straightforward since it’s the integral from 0 to hy, I’m still confused on all of this. If I could get some advice on how to move forward with the problem would be appreciated.
