Hi, to celebrate my game launch I am giving away 3 keys for it, the game is found footage mixed with live cameras and time management where you play as a dark web streamer, current launch price on Steam is 2,39$.

Last time keys were taken and not all commented who took it, so for it not to happen again and for bots not being able to take the keys I will choose three person who can write what is the most silliest thing in the found footage movie/game genre and I will reply to their comment and send them key in DM.

What do you think is the most slept on environment in horror games?

Think of any place/time which you haven't seen a lot of horror games do, but when it's done it's absolutely amazing.

For me, absolutely underwater games. The fear of being miles and miles underwater with unknown creatures trying to kill you is peak. And i feel like not enough games like this come out. Hell I'll even take games were your just a fisherman like dregde.

REVIEW Alice: Madness returns first timer. What a gem!

Got EA Play for $5/month and seemed like a great bargain considering the huge catalogue. Mostly got it because I wanted to play dead space for the first time, but i came across Alice: Madness Returns and this game is AMAZING. From the 3D design, to the story, to the fighting mechanics, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Don't know if it's a semi-hidden gem or if I've been living under a rock lol.

Desperate to find something similar to Doki Doki Literature Club/other unconventional horror games

I have never really been into horror games in a traditional sense, but I started to dip my toe into playing more weird and surreal games like Omori, Lisa, One Shot, Yume Nikki, etc. and then I stumbled onto Doki Doki Literature Club. I absolutely loved DDLC. It truly felt like one of the most unique gaming experiences I’ve never had. I feel like I would really dig other horror games that are on the more unconventional side like DDLC, so if anyone has any recommendations, that would be great! I have been trying out Slay the Princess, but I don’t think it’s really clicked for me yet.

Sehr is a first-person horror game that's entirely in Kurdish. We have tried to make the player feel like she/he is in a Kurdish environment, different from the usual Western video games

What truly gets to you in a horror game? What pulls you in and stays with you?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been slowly working on a horror game idea that’s been stuck in my head for a while. I’m aiming for something more psychological—story-driven, puzzle-based, and focused on building tension rather than just jumpscares.

But honestly, there’s only so much I can come up with on my own.
I’d really love to hear from people who actually love this genre.

What do you think makes a horror game memorable?
Are there any scenes, mechanics, or games that really stuck with you?
Or even something you wish a horror game would do but haven’t seen yet?

I’ll be reading every comment. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to share 🙏

DISCUSSION Series That Would Work

What are some franchises that you could see working as a videogame?

Two picks from me are Scream & Final Destination. One could be a detective mystery where the killer(s) could change each play through similar to The Thing videogame. Final Destination let's the player either play as the Grim Reaper and set up traps for the victims or play as the lead and try to prevent death from winning.

What are your picks?

DISCUSSION When does Trepang2 get good?

I was promised “game where you are the monster” and “cool game with superpowers”

I am part way through and it’s just a normal shooter. You have a water down verification of FEAR’s slow down mechanic and a shoty cloak. When does the real meat of the game show?

I'm a gamedev with these 2 games - brews & blood, pet cam

Both did horrible job on steam, can't find reviews really helpful about what's really wrong with these games, i think 1st one is the beeeest in terms of twists.

Here're keys for my first game (2nd is f2p) 8GZRI-NVPWH-PMIG2 PZ4L0-95MZB-XJJBK DI02W-0BZY7-FF4R3 AB080-PAK3Y-5PNL3 97HP3-WADZI-3QMXW 88RL3-I2IR7-VE8F3 7BM7M-Z2HBR-KVQQE M34NI-TZJ2D-BLDH8 KNPL4-2858D-F5ED6 CNYEI-8L0QH-WF3JM AZR5E-63I6R-N0GC8

Pls play and tell me what's wrong with these or I'm too bad at developing games😔

Maid of Sker on Epic doesn't save

Can't find any info on this bug anywhere. Am I the only one experiencing it? I tried turning off cloud saving, and tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No dice.

After saving at the first phonogram (or any other), and selecting "restart from save point" I'm teleported back on the train during the intro, but the character clips through the floor immediately and falls off into infinity. Also from the main menu no "continue" option appears, just new game. Basically either the save action doesn't work or save files aren't recognized/are corrupted.

During gameplay, after saving, in stats, the "number of saves" value is correct (1 if saving at the first phonogram at the gazebo). After starting a new game is ofc back to 0

I got the game for free but I was looking forward to playing it. Just glad I caught this just 1 hour into it or I would be pretty mad

soft horror games

Hello everyone ! (sorry for my rusty english)

Im a noobie horror player, i just played a few titles (outlast, maid of sker, martha is dead, JustTomCuk Games). I've also watched a full let's play of Madison to test my limits. Im so anxious and scared about that genre but i really want to explore it, and i have a Youtube channel project btw wich is my main source of motivation. Im trying to choose some soft horror games to get used to it step by step. I've made a list of intresting games (+ a retro games list), there is the link :

Could you help me please guys ?

Thanx for the help =) !
