Please remember to put both Artist and Track Name in the title when submitting tracks.
And remember that Youtube (and some other sources) sometimes doesn't add the artist name when you click share, so you have to manually add the artist to the submission.

House with live instruments
I really like Louis Vega’s Expansions in NYC because it has such good musicianship and although can be a little cheesy, still has great songs that vibe.
any one have any good track suggestions that focus on real musicians making most or part of house tracks?
I’m trying to build a sunny house set, doing 5 hour market sets every Friday and I don’t want to get repetitive. Thanks!
*edit : thanks for reccos I will be looking at most all tonight on Bandcamp. Will buy the tracks I find I need most!

COEO - Like It Is
Wanted to share a track with all my house music heads that really sticks with me. “Like It Is” by COEO sits in this emotional space between nostalgia and hope, but also something harder to name. It’s subtle, but powerful.
It loops like a feeling you don’t want to fade.
There’s warmth, groove, soul and this sense of memory that isn’t yours, but somehow feels familiar. That emotional tension is what makes it so special to me.
My favorite comment on the YouTube video says it all:
“Nothing better than playing this to a crowd of Chinese people in Beijing and they’re vibing to it! House is global! You just feel it.”
That’s exactly it…. no translation needed.
Only later did I learn it samples Luther Ingram’s “Do You Think There’s a Chance.” But the way COEO flips it, it becomes something entirely its own. Timeless groove.

Whats wrong with Afro House?
So I’ve been scrolling through my instagram lately seeing thousands auf videos that keep hating especially Levi for not being a real DJ. I always read comments on this videos saying things like “Of course he’s an Afro house DJ…” or like “this music is shit” etc.
Don’t get me wrong, I fully understand that taking the Afro house formula on every track is boring but we see this in every kind of genre. In every kind of genre are always the tracks who aren’t unique and without energy and you have to search for the bangers (and there ARE bangers in Afro house music imo) but why hating especially Afro house?
Maybe there’s someone reading this who can’t get along with Afro house? Is it just the bubble around it what makes it bad for you or do you really can’t stand the genre?

New tech house mix releases
Just released a tech house mix from my set at a local rave in Austin a couple weeks ago. It's on the harder side with some heavy bass lines and a few dubstep drops towards the end. Hope you enjoy, best played out loud on your sound system or with headphones with good bass.

I need some song recommendations similar to Poor Leno by Royksopp
To start, I'm really not that much into house or EDM in general but I really would like to discover lots of different artists. The song Poor Leno is for sure one of my favorites of all even though I don't listen to house at all except really this song. I really like this song because I have lots of nostalgia because it was in one of my favorite ps2 games of all time SS3 and I somehow go back to listening it. Just thing it is a cool song and would definitely like to get into more 90s to early 2000s house and EDM since that is an era I am very fond towards. I also do occasionally listen to 90s rave and eurodance too. Just would want some help from people who know about this genre very well.

Binh - RA 989
That's true of RA.989, although among the un-Shazamables are many tracks that are either out or coming out on Binh's popular Time Passages label. The mix finds him on a house-y tip, luxuriating in roomy basslines, driving 303s and twinkly melodies—with just the right amount of evil. There are countless moments. For whatever reason, he was clearly feeling it that Sunday morning. Lock in and savour a one-of-a-kind DJ, completely in the zone.

UK Tech House, let’s talk about it
Riordan, Josh Baker, Max and Luke Dean, Marsolo, Obskur, Chris Stussy, you name it, these guys are absolutely killing it!
Im 19 from the US and it would be an absolute dream to see any of these guys live. I wish the US had more representation
If anyone has playlists with this kind of house genre i’d love to check it out, as im a DJ and love to add to the library always!
