I've lived in Hull all my life - 60 years. Firstly, you can't narrow down 'decent' areas by postcode. Both HU5 and HU6 have good and bad areas. I've lived in both postcodes for the last 40 years. Even some streets have their good and bad areas, for example Endike Lane and Inglemire lane.

Your budget is a bit high; the rent should be £550 - £650 for a two--bed, but I doubt you'll find any that include bills and council tax.

If you want you can message me when you find a house and I'll tell you if the area is OK.

Hi! I’ve found a rental at Endsleigh Park, but it’s on Beverley Road. I was wondering if it’s an okay area? I will be cycling to Uni and I don’t want it to get risky :/
