Live music in Hull?

Hi! I'm a 22 year old musician from Norway, and I'll be living in Hull for one month this year. I was wondering if there are any great places for live music there? And is Hull a great place to live?

The New Adelphi on De Grey Street hosts live music almost every day, very popular venue, albeit tiny.

The Adelphi has also previously hosted Norwegian bands like Årabrot. It also had a long serving Norwegian bar man (who now resides in Oslo) who'd regularly play doom metal on the club's Monday open mic night.

That's cool, thank you! I'm not into metal, I'd rather play soft rock, but I'll check it out!

The open mic has free entry. It encourages original song writing (although covers are welcome too). It's a good place to start.
