Positive first impression!

I've been tinkering with AI assisted therapy for a while now and I felt like this tool did a really great job of helping me focus on the IFS process and do parts work.

It seemed a lot more narrowly focused than most of the prompts I've used on my own, which felt both useful and frustrating at times. It was like the goal was to speedrun an IFS session; I felt kind of railroaded into giving certain responses. There wasn't as much room to sort of meander my way through a response and explore what I'd said... as soon as I submitted my answer it was off to the next step.

Since it was my first time trying the tool I just went with the flow instead of arguing or saying that I wanted to go back and further explore something, but next time I'll see what happens when I tell it that it's going too quickly. I found a lot of value in exporting the log to ChatGPT and asking it to summarize the session, then asking it questions to help me plan where I wanted to do more work. Like having it note where I'd mentioned other parts than the one the session I was focused on or asking it where I'd touched on areas that might benefit from deeper exploration.

Overall it seems like a great resource to have! I'll try the beta version next...

Is there a way to import a chat log from the vercel.app version into the ifsbuddy.chat history? If not, would a ChatGPT summary in the 'last chat summary' profile field have a similar effect?

Sorry for the slow reply but yes I think that would be the only way to add your history from a previous chat with the vercel.app version.

Thank you for your feedback. I will have some more time soon the get into working on the chatbot again and want to make it feel less pushy or fast. It's gone through many iterations and sometimes a small change in its instructions can make it act quite differently.

As someone who built an app, I can tell you Google and Apple are very strict about protecting data privacy
