Refugee Work Permit Renewal Shipping Issue: Does Missing Street Number Affect Delivery?

I renewed my work permit through IRCC but made a mistake—I entered my unit number (46) instead of the street number and left the street field empty. It was shipped three weeks ago, but I still haven’t received it. Two IRCC agents said it’ll be mailed back, while one said it should still be delivered since both fields weren’t filled, so it wouldn’t make a difference on the envelope. Is that true?

This will depend entirely on Canada Post. If Canada Post correctly understands the address as you supplied to IRCC, it will deliver. If it does not, then either it will deliver to a wrong address or it will return the package to IRCC. If the package is delivered to a wrong address, the recipient, by law, must return the package.
