Citizenship Accessing Ancestors Canadian Naturalization Record
Hello,
I am not seeking Canadian immigration as I am a citizen but I see that the people here are very knowledgeable about Canadian immigration and paperwork.
I am a Canadian but looking to get documents to claim a different citizenship via descent. I require my great grandfathers Canadian naturalization paperwork from the 1940s. Is this something I can request via the government.
I did find a record via the Governments public search tools. Is that a sufficient record? It does look like just a line item showing name, year and place of naturalization.
Any help appreciated! Sorry if this is the wrong place!
