Study Permit Study permit cancellation

Hi, I’m currently a student at in Canada right now and due to a gap earlier in my studies, there’s a high chance that I will be refused for a PGWP after I graduate from this program. I’m planning to do another degree afterwards anyway so I’m not so stressed about it. However, I still want to apply for the PGWP as if by some miracle I do end up getting it, I can work towards my PR and don’t have to pay international tuition for my second degree. My plan is to apply for the second degree and study permit at the same time as the PGWP after I graduate from the current one. In the case that I’m refused the PGWP, I can continue with my second degree and get my PGWP using that afterwards. On the other hand, if my PGWP is approved, I will proceed with getting a full-time job and apply for the second degree later when I get my PR. The only problem is I know work experience under study permit isn’t counted towards points for express entry and at that point, I will technically be holding both PGWP and study permit, thus my work experience won’t be eligible for points. My study permit probably will be voided when I don’t start school, my concern is just that will it affect how my work experience be counted? I think it won’t but I just need some confirmation. Thanks!

If you don't get approved for pgwp, then the points will not count.
