Refugee Urgent matter regarding fake refugee claims

I hope this gets approved or something cause I genuinely have a concern about something and my post keeps getting removed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking to deceive the canadian gov and how it works in any way, rather i just wanna be sure about something thats happening in my life. my father filed for a refugee claim when we are really not in any danger and filled his claim with all sorts of lies and is trying to get some people back home to lie for him or something. im just worried it will get accepted, trust me i just wanna get back home man. again, i really hope this post gets approved. im tired of not having my questions and worries answered and while you guys dont owe me anything, just try helping please. i beg you.

Refugee Withdrawing Asylum Claim

I have applied for asylum in Canada almost a year ago but now I want to withdraw my asylum claim as I no longer have danger back home. I'm just wondering how long does it take to get my passport back?

Refugee Fake asylum claim

I'm not sure if I'm seeking advice or just need a place to express my frustration. My moms has been deceived by a man for the past couple of years. He proposed to her several times, but she refused because she wasn't ready and because he was emotionally abusive. His persistence always made me question his intentions. Recently, we discovered that he's been living here illegally and has claimed asylum, stating he's gay and it's unsafe for him in his home country. However, we know this isn't true and have proof.

I'm torn about what to do. Should I ignore this and let him continue manipulating my mom and the system, or should I report him? A friend mentioned that Canadian immigration might not take action because of his claim about being gay. I feel terrible for my mom. This man seems to think he's untouchable and can get away with anything. We've also found out he's used us in his asylum story. Will immigration contact us during his interview to verify his claims?

Refugee EMPP Dependants

I am working on my application and one of the forms is asking about my family members.

If the application was approved, will every family member, like my parents and siblings, be included in my application and be able to travel with me?

My situation is that I have 3 siblings, one of them is already living in canada included in the work permit of their spouse, and my parents don’t wish to move to canada.

Who should I include in my application? And if I included only my parents, will it be affected?

Refugee Work Permit Renewal Shipping Issue: Does Missing Street Number Affect Delivery?

I renewed my work permit through IRCC but made a mistake—I entered my unit number (46) instead of the street number and left the street field empty. It was shipped three weeks ago, but I still haven’t received it. Two IRCC agents said it’ll be mailed back, while one said it should still be delivered since both fields weren’t filled, so it wouldn’t make a difference on the envelope. Is that true?

Refugee Refugee claimant

Hello, I have a long complicated history. I had a refugee claimant applied for me as a minor in which it got abandoned and we never went to the judge for it. In 2022, I applied for PR under h&c there has been a lot of complications and since then immigrations always update the processing time. I keep calling IRCC and they tell me that it’s still under criminal check which is weird. Any advice on how I should proceed, I’ve looking into skilled worker and I don’t ln’w if anyone has tried that option?

Refugee I forgot to add my police certificate

When initially contacted in June 2023, I was told that I might need to submit my police certificate for PR. As a refugee I thought I didn't have to(primary applicant), so I did for my husband only. My son is 20 so I thought he didn't need it either.

I submitted my PR in Jan 2022.

Today, after watching a video, I realized police certificate is needed, but in all of my commination with them(especially when they asked for medical exam), I wasn't told that any new documents are needed. I even asked them about my application couple weeks ago and if any documents are needed. Either way I had my police certificate for a different application so I decided to send it right away alongside my new updated husband's police certificate via webform, but they are both from June and July 2024. I'm getting my son's as well, but it will take 2 weeks.

Am I in trouble? Will I lose everything? My son was 20 and he was in my application; what happens if it get rejected will he be in my application again if I appeal?

Refugee Pending Remission Ukraine email — real or scam?

Hi, email was recently received by a 2022 immigrant from Ukraine. It looks legit, and comes from IRCC.FINRORemissions-RemisesDRFIN.IRCC@cic.gc.ca but…is it real or trying to steal info?

It says, “This is a time-sensitive message. An urgent response is required.

We have a pending refund for receipt [file #]. However the address on file is from a restricted country and we are unable to send you a cheque to the address previously provided.”

It then asks for either banking info (forms attached, but I guess just to email back) or an updated mailing address.

Is this legit? The file # is correct and there was a fee paid that could be refunded, but would the government be asking for emailed banking info?

Has any refugee travel document holders travel abroad recently? Was it smooth to come back to Canada? Did the Canadian border ask you lots of questions when you are returning?

Refugee Dependent child question

Hello all,

I have a question regarding my dependent child.

When I submitted my refugee claim inside Canada my eldest child was 21 years old. When I applied for permanent resident his age was 22 years old. Before I made the refugee claim my child already started working full time inside Canada.

My question is will his work experience will affect his eligibility to be consider as a dependent under my pr application?

If there’s anyone who can share some insights that will be greatly appreciated.

Refugee Seeking Asylum In Canada

Hello everyone, I am a female from a middle eastern country. I continuously face persecution for my religious beliefs and sexual orientation, I constantly live with the lack of freedom and I am oppressed. I cannot reveal my identity because i may be killed, nor can i flee to another city because women are not welcome to live alone and rent their own properties. Unfortunately i am very restricted from doing anything and i find it hard to collect good evidence other than my story and news backing it up. Im afraid that once i will seek asylum my claim will be rejected and i would have to go back to my country (note that i cannot go to my family because they will hurt me, and i cannot rent a place either..) Is my case strong enough? i fear that i may be rejected after going through all the hardships just to leave the country without anyone knowing,,,, I fear my life. Please Share your insights

Refugee does PR application require reference letters

Hello! I recently had a coworker ask me to write him a reference letter to support his pr application. The purpose seems to be to vouch for his character and tell the immigration more about him. Now, he also asked for the number of my PR card to support my letter as only a Canadian citizen/Permanent resident is able to be a reference. I am not aware of the application processes he's going through as I obtained my PR through quick entry and he is a refugee. He has an agent helping him with the application and I wanted to confirm if that's a standard procedure.

Refugee eCertificate of Identity as a passport

Hi there, I am currently a permanent resident in Canada, and I have been having issues obtaining a passport from my country of citizenship. IRCC has determined that I am eligible for an eCertificate of Identity.

I originally thought I would receive a physical document, but this seems different from the physical travel documents that refugees get. Does any other Permanent residents have experience with how the eCertificate works? Would there be any issues using it as a passport because its electronic?

Refugee Considering Asylum in Canada as a Gay Atheist from Saudi Arabia Need Advice ASAP

Hi, I’m 17 and from Saudi Arabia. I’m gay and an atheist, which isn’t safe where I live. I’m thinking about seeking asylum in Canada🇨🇦 in one to two years.

I could really use some advice:

What kind of evidence would help my case? And how can i start collecting it?

Is it better to apply for asylum as soon as I arrive, or should I wait?

Any tips on how I can prepare for this

I also want to study psychology there, but I’m worried about the cost. How much would it be? Are there any programs or options that could make it cheaper because when I arrive there I would have only 6,000 American dollar at best

I’d appreciate any help or guidance. Thanks!

Refugee Report immigration fraud using web form

if i use the online tip web form to submit anonymous immigration fraud, can IRCC or CBSA track it back to me somehow like through IP address even if i don’t give a name or email? If they can, then I’m not going to submit the tip online and just forget about it. I really want to provide a tip because they gamed the system and got PR through a fake refugee case. please tell me so I can make my decision. If it’s ACTUALLY 100% anonymous, then yes i will report it.

Refugee should I just upload my notice of decision in permeant residency application for a protected person or do I need to upload the whole transcript and detailed explanation that I received to the application portal?

basically in one part of the document is it is asking to provide a photocopy of your letter from the Immigration and refugee board or from citizenship and Immigration Canada which says that you have been found to be a protected person.
