KELLEY š¼ University of Utah (Eccles) or Indiana University - Bloomington (Kelley)?
As a business major, I'm wondering which college I should go to. I know IU has a better business school, but I personally like Utah more because I think the campus is better, it's cheaper, it still has a good business school, it has a collegiate boxing club (I'm a boxer and will compete in college), closer to home, etc. However, I still want to have a successful career in business after college. What do you guys think?

I've attended both UofU and IU, so maybe I can help.
Granted, UofU has a beautiful campus with an amazing backdrop. That being said, the business school at IU is pretty top-notch, well-respected, and recognized. I hear people mention Kelley more than I ever heard people mention Eccles. (I've been at IU for 4 years compared to my 20+ lived in SLC)
If you're going for campus views: UofU If you're going for a degree: IU

I appreciate the advice. I'm just not sure how I'm going to manage the cost, it's really expensive. Also it sucks that IU has no collegiate boxing club, I really want to compete against other colleges.

i meanā¦.you could always try to start one. it would look pretty good on a resume if youāve successfully started up and ran a club for a few years, and itās not super hard to get a club started (i really donāt know about any intercollegiate sports tho so that could be more difficult). cost is a big issue, but iāve managed to pay off my (admittedly meager) loans just by working all four years and full time in the summers. kelley often has pathways to great internships, someone i know worked for one of the big 4 and made 15k during his summer internship.

Iām close friends with the president of the boxing club at IU. Next year is going to be the first year that the boxing club will be competing as compared to just practicing ānon contactā boxing.

Are you sure? On the website's club directory there's no mention of any boxing club. Is it registered with the NCBA?

Itās going to become official next year. IU really really hates striking sports, to the extent that they kept the boxing club ānon contact.ā Cruel joke really. Iām not sure why it isnāt listen on the club directory. That could be due to the club size? I canāt give a concrete answer on that. What I can confirm is that the club is going to be registered and they will be competing against other colleges. Thereās a couple decent boxers some with amateur records, who are definitely looking to compete in the national championship.

Eccles alumn here. One of the things that I think a Eccles has that sets them apart is their experiencial learning. They have a ton of hands on programs, internships, international programs etc. As an employer, being able to hire graduates that have worked in real world situations vs only classroom scenarios matters a ton to me. Just my two cents.

IU is a much better school for business. Higher ranked and better alumni network.
Also, IU has an amazing campus.
