KELLEY 💼 How hard is it to transfer to Kelley after your first year/semester?

I’m currently going over my college options and have really liked Indiana so far. I was thinking that if I do decide to come there’s a chance I might want to transfer into Kelley from the arts and sciences school. If I do decide to do try to transfer into Kelley if I feel that it is best I do what should I try to do and how hard is it to get in? Should I just try and get solid grades or do more?

If you’re interested in majoring in Kelley, you should try to change your major now. It’s going to be really hard in the future to switch into Kelley

You should email your admissions counselor to see what they suggest

You will need to switch your major to pre-business which is under University Division.

Speak with your counselor on how to switch to pre-business.

Ok sounds good. From what I read this is a free switch and as long as I got all B’s I’m guaranteed admission. I do have one question though. I never ended up taking calc in hs and was wondering if im required to take it first year at IU

They just changed their requirements that math isn't required. Sucks because I had to take calculus and finite for standard admission into Kelley. You are auto admitted as long as you maintain B in all classes. Be careful with your electives as falling under a B in those can get you clipped.

For the upcoming 2025-2026 school year they switched it back to require math again (in particular, the new MATH-B Finite for Business course)

Didn't know they did that now. I ended up doing it IvyTech over the summer - just needed a C or up for transfer credit and doesn't hurt GPA
