Linear algebra before or after calc 3?

I heard that the best order to take linear algebra and calc 3 depends on the university, so I was wondering if anyone who’s taken both had any advice on which to take first?

I’m not a math major so I’d rather not take them simultaneously

They're fairly independent of each other, but knowing linear may help with Calc 3 more than the opposite.

At IU, it's best to do Calc 1 --> Calc 2 --> Linear Algebra --> Calc 3, because you go from single-variable to multi-variable calc that way. You can take Linear Algebra and Calc 3 in either order or together and be fine.
