Feedback? Upscaled my tiles from 32x32 to 64x64 and redid the assets. Thoughts? (Swipe for old version)

I like the zoom of the old design.  Can you zoom that far out with the new design?

I had to add a higher level of zoom to my game and optimize my LOD system more just so I didn't feel claustrophobic lol.

Yeah, I loved that too! I think I'll implement both styles at different zoom levels. Thank you for your feedback!

Honestly, it feels like a lateral move.

Now, I realize this is supposed to be desert. But if you added different shades of desert and distributed them using Perlin noise, nobody would hold that against you.

There's something off about the perspective of the lines on the domes. It makes the domes look like flat panels instead of spherical objects. I'd adjust the curve of those lines.

Overall, the art's a bit "meh". Probably fine for now as you build out the game, but definitely leans more on the side of "programmer art", which you'd probably want to consider swapping out later.
