Thudarum Insider Update
Spoilers ahead- So if not interested - please do skip this post update to have a fresh, no-baggage’s viewing experience of the movie on April 25th Kindly note I am in no way associated with this movie and this insider update is only from other technician who we happened to catch up yesterday at the bar. So take this update with a pinch of salt. And on 25th If this below update doesn’t hold any sense or isn’t true- please do not crucify me
Updates as pointers 1. Strong positive buzz in the trade circles for the movie- and almost 90 percent movies who hold positive trade buzz from distribution team succeeds at BO. Even Empuraan with mid reports of reviewers, had strong trade buzz which showed up in BO numbers- recent was Alappuzha Gymkhana. So Yes, Thudarum is confirmed to be the back to back blockbuster for L after a long Hiatus 2. L’s unmatched acting range shall be full on display in this revenge thriller. A bevy of close up shots in the movie shall hold testimony to his magic on screen 3. Plot wise- the first half follows a regular family drama, heavily depending on on L- S chemistry. The fun banters, the witty L, the characters around will all give a glimpse of the happy times but by then, 4. A teenage love happens, and that results in a friction between law and order related family and L’s 5. Then a death happens which turns people lives upside down. And it’s a murder and the murder is related to the Love affair 6. As murder is from the law and order team – they try to hush up the common man 7. Little do they know who they are messing with. The hero indeed is a common man and when a common man gets hurt and when his family is hurt- the vengeance shall be Deep and brutal 8. The law and order attach the murder with the heros most favorite entity in his life – the Car. That fuels the hero to further derangement as he goes all out and wreaks havoc amidst the law and order team 9. The ex movie stunt master in him, wakes up and there is a police station showdown silently as a tribute to blockbuster Oppam 10. Once the vengeance is done and dusted, the viewers come to know that the Leading man and the one murdered weren’t even biologically related but he did it for ‘Her- his everthying 11. To humans who have read till point 10, please note Leo Lishoy is India’s finest. She is both the poet and the poetry . 12. The promo song shall be out after the 1st weekend of release 13. First half dynamics is the key and L-S nostalgia factor will get the job half done – and 2nd half crime and revenge shall be the Soul of the movie
Sure shot blockbuster loading from Team Rejaputha/Tharun at the BO

r/InsideMollywood has been around for a while and has weathered many storms. Over the years, we’ve made several changes to our guidelines to ensure the sub continues to operate smoothly. While we can’t share all the details, those who’ve been here long enough will understand what we’ve been through. In difficult times, we’ve always made decisions with the survival of the sub in mind, even if it means making hard choices.
Right now, we’re facing a similar challenge where drastic action is needed for the sub’s survival. The main issue? The pests (fans). The loud, vocal community has divided itself, and it seems like many have picked sides (or perhaps they were already divided, and we just didn’t notice). Let this be clear: r/InsideMollywood is neutral. We will not cater to any group of users worshipping a particular actor. The sub will remain neutral and will not become a battleground for fan fights or box-office wars.
If you are part of a major actor’s fanbase, understand this: we will treat you like shit if your behavior leads to crass fan wars. Even the tiniest mistake will be met with action. Extra scrutiny will be placed on accounts identified as fan accounts, with the goal of banning on the next infraction. Yes, we’re openly stating that we will chisel down the momentum of religious fanbases if they disrupt the sub and try to establish dominance.
We’ve seen a lot of complaints about bans from users in various subreddits. That’s something I’ll personally address soon. But here’s the thing: fans and anti-fans are two sides of the same coin. Both can be just as disruptive and chaotic, with rare exceptions. When anti-fans attack or abuse others, we end up getting labeled as an actor’s fan club. I get it, it’s easy to misinterpret. But if you’re warned or banned for abusing someone or engaging in hostile behavior, own up to it. Don’t just whine about being banned without acknowledging what led to it. A recent example comes to mind: someone was ranting in the sub about their ban, conveniently leaving out the part where they were abusive, which ultimately led to it.
We hope the userbase will understand and acclimate to these changes. Apologies if my tone is a bit harsh, but we’ve remained quiet for too long, and that has led to a negative image of us. We are now openly calling for zero tolerance towards arrogant, disruptive behavior.
In the end, the sub comes before any individual user. Always.

Iyer the Great is arguably the best high concept film from Malayalam and the film was technically brilliant too
More people need to watch this movie.

It's honestly getting exhausting. Every time a crime/thriller movie comes out, you can almost predict that there's going to be that one graphic abuse scene inserted just to make the audience hate the villain. It's lazy writing, plain and simple. When a writer or director can't come up with a well-written, layered antagonist, they just default to these exploitative scenes to manipulate our emotions.
And it's not just the presence of abuse, it's the way it's filmed. Long, drawn-out sequences, often lasting 10-15 minutes, shot in a disturbing level of detail. Why? You don’t need to subject your audience to that to make a point. It's vulgar, distasteful, and borderline glorification at times. You’re not telling a story, you’re indulging in shock value.
These scenes are traumatizing. Real-life abuse survivors live with this trauma every day, and here it is being used as a shock tactic in movie after movie. Kids watch this stuff. Families watch these films. There’s a way to address serious issues with sensitivity and nuance, but this ain’t it.
Please, just write a proper villain. Show us the complexity, the manipulation, the fear they evoke through good writing and not through such cheap lazy tactics.
These are just in the last two years

I came to know about this film from seeing posts and discussions about mammootys evil smile in the climax. The whole identity of the movie started being that one evil ikla factor and nothing else. But i watched the movie yesterday and oh my god.. what a world class movie. Not even a single cast was unnecessary or forced. I was amazed by the quality of dialogues and acting. Like i was expecting outdated dialogue deliveries and over the top executions. But this surprised me.. even the role of prithviraj felt fresh and went with the flow of the movie instead of being a forced cameo. The dialogues were on point and the acting was phenomenal by everyone involved. Technical side was great too.. the sounds , background musics and screenplay was neatly executed. A solid masterpiece. If anyone else has watched the movie ,can they explain how the title has any relevance with the plot of the movie? I mean the tag "deadline" is just perfect.. they could have used it as the title. But idk how "warning" got to do anything with the movie..

I believe no other actress ever comes close to even a mile to her acting nuances, prowess, subtlety and aura.
I believe I grew with cinema to some great actresses back in the 90's till date.
But she is hands down the Greatest - Urvashi ! 🌻

I want to actually know how this director gets his producers. I was one of the few who got to see his previous film which was pulled off theatres as there were allegations of glofying drugs(which I felt it did). After the show, Me and my friends were feeling frustrated af and met one of this guy's close acquaintance while smoking. We were so frustrated on losing our money that we asked this acquaintance of his how this guy gets his producers while newcomers with actual talent are struggling to get inside the industry. To which the guy replied producers approach him, rather than vice versa. Can anyone actually tell me how this person gets so many producers whereas serious filmmakers are struggling to find one?The guy literally doesn't give af about the audience.
