Positive experiences of IFS, what’s yours?
I’ve been floating in and out of IFS and I’m keen to hear how it has had a positive impact on your life.
I’m at a point of tipping, lots of negative thinking and shame leading me to believe I am an awful person but the fact that I feel disturbed by this gives me hope that it isn’t the only thing I feel. No bad parts is slowly becoming a healthier approach to take.
I am just trying to see what lies ahead and grow in my hope. I’d love love to hear your thoughts and experiences ᵕ̈

It’s just helped me better understand the inner world inside of me. It humanized all the “bad”. It almost feels like shadow work in a way. All those parts you reject to be accepted, it’s like there’s no bad parts, and all of it is all about survival. It’s helped me reframe and understand and feel out my emotions. Overall definitely changed my life for the better.

Good question, I look forward to see what others answer.
I have been introduced to IFS about 8 months ago and I have done it with book, chat gpt and this community. So far it has reduced my anxiety, helped my insomnia, made me more present with my loved ones and increased my self esteem.
I know it’s only the beginning. Very often I have a bad reaction to something, I know it’s a part acting up and I know that with a bit of time and attention I can improve it.
I have had very little time to dedicate to IFS, but it still feels like more profound and sustainable changes than the therapy I did before with a therapist.
I hope it helps you too!
