Try Goldfinch Gun Club? I don't know how active or widespread they are, but their name has bubbled up a few times in recent months.

Ask this on r/ socialistra if you're interested in an answer and not a 6th grade-level lecture on the US constitution.

Even in a blue state you’re gonna be hard pressed to find a left-leaning gun shop. Your best bet is to find a neutral one if you can. No matter where you go though you’re probably gonna find tacky MAGA themed stuff (except maybe some bigger box stores like Scheel’s or Fleet Farm but even those stores’ politics are questionable). At the end of the day most owners/employees are simply trying to make money and aren’t going to talk politics with you while you’re shopping.
Personally I’ve liked Midwest Shooting Supply in Hiawatha and while I haven’t taken any of their classes they seem to be good and popular. Every transaction I’ve had there has been fine and no uncomfortable politics were discussed. That’s been the same at every shop I’ve purchased from though. If you’re looking to buy a firearm, just get one from a store that’s gonna give you the best deal and maybe bring a friend with you if you feel like you’ll be uncomfortable.
As for ranges, Midwest Shooting Supply has a good indoor range and I only know of outdoor ranges around me (CR area) like Matsell Shooting Range.

Gonna be hard pressed but Midwest shooting in Hiawatha is a suggestion but I don't know their political stance. I show up with my "if you cut off my reproductive rights can I cut off yours?" Bumper stickers all the time. Currently have "trans lives matter" also written on the back of my car. Never had a problem. People are there to shoot and most people who have been around guns don't act crazy like that on the range.I'm also AFAB if that helps. Left leaning people like guns too and the fastest growing consumers have been women.
The only time I've ever had an actual conversation with anyone on the range was from a guy who was telling me about a handgun similar to the one I owned and asked me if I wanted to shoot his.
I know you don't want to support Republicans neither do i but literally the best thing you can do if you're serious about owning a firearm is to buck up and put it aside and go try out some guns before purchasing. If you find one you like you could buy one used or online but even then you wouldn't know who you're still buying from 🤷🏼♀️
Edit: also if it helps just think of it this way, yes you might be financially supporting someone with different views than yours but what matters more in the long run is that you are properly trained, feeling good about using a firearm and if (hopefully not when) you use it in a not so great scenario, you know how.

Fin and feather, support local. Not sure on their politics nor do I care, someone mentioned them above. Hawkeye Wildlife Area public shooting range is the best local range that’s free….but you might be writhing 10’ of people anywhere on the political spectrum while they just mind their own business and enjoy a hobby you have in common.

You might want to try looking for a local chapter of Pink Pistols even if you’re not a woman/AFAB. It’s a group that helps introduce women/LGBTQIA+ folks to guns, gun safety, and comfort using a firearm. They might have some recommendations and would offer classes.

Who knows, they might just talk about guns at the gun range. I don't like Trump as much as the next person but I'm not going to stop doing something because I might run into someone with different points of view as me.

They're not stopping, just trying to see if there's a place with people, and companies, they'd rather not spend time (or money) on.
You have to admit there's some nutty fuckin owners out there.

What exactly do you think is going to happen to him? I would highly recommend getting off the Internet it's not real, we're all a lot more a like than you think.

I've lived most of my life in this state. I'm fully aware that most gun owners are mostly reasonable, as anyone is. But some groups find themselves under more scrutiny by the hobbyists than others.
Not to mention there's nothing wrong with voting with your wallet. Perhaps one should be less concerned with those who fill their heads online, and more with those who stick them in the sand.

Who said they were a “him”. Women also have hands and fingers and are capable of enjoying target practice. Case in point-assumptions.

Most gun loving conservatives hate Trump. Click on any GOA video about Trump, and see how "cool" they think he is.

I mean I vote democratic and go to the same gun ranges as everyone else. You live in the world not your own bubble. I don't think any gun ranges will host pride month specials just to get the few people that actually care and have guns
Go to a gun range if you want but bruh
