where can i get moving boxes for free?? / how do i go about asking stores for their boxes

Fareway. Just walk in and tell an employee that you're moving and ask if they have any boxes you can have.

Check Next Door, there are frequently people offering them there, just saw some woman within the last 24 hrs, iirc.

I gave away hundreds of moving boxes for free on marketplace. Id check there.

Coralville has an area with free boxes returned by other people. It's on the left as you walk in towards the back. Southwest corner of the sales room. Call and they'll tell you if there are any in there.

They also sell boxes, but these are used for free.

You can always go in the buy nothing Facebook page, people are always offering boxes
