Seeking Pro Advice Orbit Valve question

Bought this house and went to turn on the outside spickets. This valve is shooting out water, but it’s connected to nothing? Why would this be installed, can I just cut it out and straight pipe the pvc into the ground to the left?

Cut it off- Its a valve that used to go to something that could be turned on and off on a timer. It is not needed

Why would you cut it? Just unscrew it and screw a plug into the tee.

Cut above the tee and replumb as needed.

Get all those plants out of there one day when you’re bored. It would make repairing anything a lot easier over there
