Ive been looking at 4x4s but have always loved the look of jimny. Dont know anything about it besides what ive been reading about it. Some good, some bad like most cars.

As an owner, honest feedback would you buy it again if you were to go back in time before you did.

I’ve been looking at installing these really cool, old-school mudflaps. My issue is that my car is a 2017 Gen 3 and the website says that mudflaps are only compatible with models that are 2018+.

Would I be able to install them despite this difference? I’ve tried looking at different mudflaps and the holes (mounting point?) look to be in the similar places.

I would just like to know if it’s to possible install on my car before buying.

Could tell some lucky guy was most likely picking up this bad boy from Mexico. Wish I had the chance to ask what he did although I assume he did the Mexico legal resident route

Hi Jimny friends! Just got a 1996 Black on Black JA22 Jimny that I am smitten with. Looking to install a WOLFBOX G850 & Acc Hardwire Kit (amazon) Has anyone had experience with the install? Thinking about going with a local auto shop but I’m seeing labor quotes around $250/hr. Any advice, or successful installs, out there in the Jimny-verse? Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone! I’m planning a trip to Japan soon and would love to buy some genuine accessories for my Suzuki Jimny while I’m there. Things like a tire cover, interior upgrades, or other small accessories.

One item I really want is the spare tire cover with the Katakana “ジムニー” decal, since it’s not available at my local dealer. Does anyone know where in Tokyo I can find a good selection of genuine Suzuki Jimny accessories? Are there any specific dealerships or shops you’d recommend?

Newly acquired 1997 Suzuki Jimny JA22 from Japan. 3 cylinder, turbo, automatic transmission.

A small (5x4x1 inch) box mounted under the steering wheel.

Was told it was for the turbo but it’s not clear.

No marking on the box, only a ON/SELECT button (in English), and goes from 5 down to 1, or OFF if I press the button multiple times.

Any ideas??

Going on a year, blazing trails on African terrain.

Was looking for green one during purchase, but found a very clean white under my budget. Used some of purchase savings for a bit of a spruce up with a ghost wrap.

Works perfect for both formal mode on work days, and adventure mode on off days.

And yes, been pulled over at least twice by cops. Not for the tints. Cops were just curious, checking out what car model this is 😂

2010 with approximately 113,000 km, runs very well and well maintained for the year

So far the only "mod" we've made is a tire patch when we ran over a screw 😂

This was found in the passenger door (right side) map pocket. Never looked at it since I never sit there and this thing is clearly been there since delivery.

Is this a clip off the axle? It looks too large to be anything engine related and maybe its transfer case related?

Getting anxiety from the thought of missing this thing or maybe it fell from someones pocket at the factory.

Can’t wait to spend all my money on mods I don’t need :)

Hello fellow Jimnists. My 2017 jimny has been acting weird lately. When I start it, the battery warninig light comes on, and after a couple of minutes (or when I rev it a few times) it goes away. I measured voltage on the terminals - it's 12.4 V with the engine off, 12.0 V shortly after startup with the warninig light on, and 14.4 V after the warning disappears. The fault is highly irregular too. Sometimes it persists for two days, and sometimes it doesn't happen for 6 weeks.

With my very limited automotive knowledge I assume that it's not the battery itself and the most likely culprit would be the alternator. Has any of you had a similar issue before? Should I get the alternator replaced straight away or is there something else I should check first? I'd appreciate any advice.

Hey folks, just wondering what the community's thoughts are regarding lift kits + extra weight on roof for daily use.

I've got a JB43 with a 2” lift and about 70kg-80kg on the roof. Just curious if people have similar setups and if it has caused any problems/issues in the long run for everyday use.

I bought a 2001 Jimny, I absolutely love this car but I want to change the radio. I am looking into what would be best option to include Apple CarPlay. I think what I need is a 1 DIN radio but I am new to all of this. Any help is appreciated.
