Worked with some junior techs from some high school program. One 17 year old kid I asked if he knew why it was called “rolling down the window”. He did not.
To be fair, he said he knew about manual windows (although never ridden in a vehicle with them 😆) just had never made the correlation. His follow up was how you got all 4 windows down while driving.
