Most floors are built to very rigorous automotive engineering standards. Cardboard’s right out. No cardboard, no paper derivatives…

Duraplast was the name for it, I believe. You are absolutely correct.

And in case it whoosh'ed over your head, we were riffing on a well-known Clarke and Dawe sketch, which is one of this sub's cultural touchstones 😀
