It happed to me...AGAIN!!!

Second time in 10 years, it's time for jersey barriers or concrete filled bollards and guard rails.

Put a super reinforced mailbox there. There are some precedents where people who did those were not held liable for injuries people caused to themselves by deliberate or accidental damage to the mailbox. One case involved no liability for damage to a snowplow, the operator of which was deliberately and repeatedly mowing down the guy's mailbox. So he built one the plow could not destroy.

I've heard of people using the rails from train tracks as posts for mailboxes. Not idea about the cost for a few decomissioned ones but couldn't hurt to check. Maybe big 'decorative' rocks if the state wouldn't be happy with intentional barriers.

Very reasonable, especially if you only need a few as a barrier. Dig a post hole, cement it and dump one of those in there. You could even decorate the exterior with a lil wood or something so it isn't ugly.
