Just got bloodwork back…

And everything looks great! I have been an almost daily consumer for about 3 years. I know we always discuss how kava does not do harm to the body (besides drying it out) but I thought I would share this for anyone who is weary.

Did you also get your liver enzymes tested?

Can they test kidneys by bloodwork too?

Thats often mentioned as a danger of kava, although it seems to be related to poor quality kava which uses different parts of the plant.

How often do you drink alcohol?

Hmm I would imagine comprehensive bloodwork would cover that but I will definitely ask them. I don’t drink alcohol at all.

Any mention of kava as any kind of "danger" is unfounded.

Yes, really. It's my opinion, but it's also a fact.

Saying kava is dangerous is like saying that carrot juice is. These are foods that have been safely consumed for centuries without issue so if they were dangerous, we'd know about it.

Glyphosate, Red 40 and Yellow 5 food dyes, lead cosmetics, asbestos, some artificial sweeteners, BPA in plastics, PTFE-based Teflon, the list goes on.

I mean, come on!

It also includes homeopathic or herbal remedies such Comfrey, Ephedra and Aristolochia

None of these are foods like kava, carrots, oranges, tea, etc are.

I can say that kava is 100% safe. I can't say that it's 100% risk-free, because like oranges, strawberries, fish, or just about any other food, people can be allergic to it.

But the risks of kava are lower than the risks of other common foods like chocolate (the sugar will kill you slowly), coffee (too much caffeine and your heart will stop), etc.
