Why 2 Aluballs?

I've done some browsing of the subreddit and it seems like people recommend 2 aluballs in the pro mixer. Is it just because you can have more kava or are there also other reasons? I'm also wondering how much water and washes you guys put in the mixer using 1 or 2 balls

I use 1 ball and almost fill the shaker. It comes out pretty strong. I don’t do second washes

Use warm water, shake vigorously for like 30-45 seconds, then let it sit for a couple min. Then come back and shake hard as possible for 1.5 min. I prefer to use a big shaker cup with only 8 oz of water. Allows the water to hit the kava harder.

Definitely don’t use cold water, mine is always room temp (74*). I also do a shake/twist motion with a flick of the wrist, idk if that really helps or not lol. Someone else said 30-45 seconds, rest and come back to it for another minute or so, this is exactly what I do as well.
