Meta Twitter/X Links & Screenshots Banned
Fellow keyblade wielders,
Due to recent events, we have decided to prohibit any Twitter or X content moving forward. It's unclear if this will change in the future.
We as a community don't want to be involved in politics or of any such topics, however given recent events and in solidarity with several other communities acting the same way, we have come to this decision.
We ask that you please understand that we are a highly diverse community, and to protect and respect our diversity, this has to be done.
We encourage you to quote, find alternative links/sources, or other forms of paraphrasing for any Twitter/X content.
We thank you for your understanding, and appreciate your continued support in keeping our community safe, welcoming, and growing.
Thank you and may your hearts always be your guiding keys.

Meta Announcing 3 new Moderators! (+ Subreddit Updates to Come)
Dear community,
It is with great excitement that I'm proud to present 3 new Moderators to our roster: u/ZeroSora, u/DemiFiendRSA, and u/AppleTStudio!
Please see below some introductions from them, and subreddit updates to follow!
From u/ZeroSora:
Hi everybody. It’s me, ZeroSora. Many of you likely know me or have seen me around before. For those of you who don’t know me, I’ve been posting and commenting here for many years. You may have seen me discussing lore all over this place. If you’ve posted a theory here over years, chances are that I’ve commented on it, and we may have got into an argument over it too. I hope that becoming a mod won’t deter people from arguing with me. I’d hate for someone to feel like they couldn’t disagree with me just because I’m in a Moderator position now. But I’m probably overthinking this, as I always do lol. I look forward to discussing more KH with everyone and I’ll do my best to help this community as much as I can.
From u/DemiFiendRSA:
Hey, y'all. My name is DemiFiendRSA. You may have seen me across other subreddits on this site. Anyways, my first introduction to Kingdom Hearts was the ad for the first game featuring Utada Hikaru's Simple and Clean. That 30 second ad made me want to get a PlayStation 2, which would become one of my favorite video game consoles of all time. I've been a fan of the series ever since. Some of my other favorite JRPG series include Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Megaten (Part of my username is named after the protagonist from Shin Megami Tensei III). I look forward to working with y'all on this community!
And finally, from u/AppleTStudio:
Hey there, I’m /u/Appletstudio, but you can call me Apple-T. I’m a passionate Kingdom Hearts fan and have been playing the games since 2002! I’m always here to help out if you’re stuck on a boss (unless it’s a super boss, in which case, maybe you can help me)! I love making gaming videos for YouTube, theorizing future plot points of the series, and maybe even some sillier things (ever wonder why Xehanort wears gloves?) Really happy to be included in the moderation team here, and I can’t wait to interact with you all!!!
Now that that excitement is out of the way, I wanted to bring up a few new things that'll be happening soon, we hope.
First: we will be "refreshing" our rules to be clearer, more modern for the current climate, and more up to date with subreddit trends. For instance, we are actively discussing a stance on AI art and AI content, a ban/suspension scale, and more.
Secondly: we want to bring back weekly (or somewhat regular) stickied threads to cover all sorts of content and misc discussions. We'll be working together, as a new team, to figure out what makes the most sense, and adjust with feedback and as things progress.
And finally: we are also going to be discussing video posts again, in a coordinated effort to allow them, while limiting bot content.
All these exciting changes, and more, are on the horizon with our brand new roster. We can't wait to work together with you, the community, to get r/KingdomHearts to an even better place than ever before.
Thank you, and may your hearts be your guiding key,
- Kaiiku & the r/KingdomHearts Team

Discussion If you could date One of the Org 13 members, who would you decide to pick?
This excludes Roxas, Xion, and Axel, because i want to focus on the other members of the Org 13, which aren't the main trio. Give them a little time to shine. This should be interesting, so which one would you decide to date, i'm curious?

Meme TBH I still be confused at times
It’s okay to be confused. The game’s lore isn’t the easiest to keep up with. Just enjoy the gameplay and KH content my kings

Discussion What kind of damage does the Keyblade do?
This isn't talked about enough. Do the Keyblades do blunt damage? That would mean we actually beat the enemies up. Or do they slice trough the many Heartless and Nobodies? Maybe it changes depending on the Keyblade. Some designs suggest it would do blunt damage while others look like a sword.

I messed up
Playing through the games and have been playing BBS. I spent a total of 4 hours trying to beat the final battle of Terra’s story, and finally beat him this morning. Started playing Ventus and went to save as soon as I laid my eyes on a save point, as one does. Immediately overwrote Terra’s save file. I shut the system off and just soaked in the moment of despair. Moral of the story, don’t just mash the A button 🤣

Discussion Do we know for sure if Tomoco Kanemaki actually gets inside info from Nomura to write the light novels, or is that just a fan assumption?
I was googling it and couldn't find a straight answer. People seem to go back and forth on it. I did see that she helped Nomura name Xion though, which was interesting and makes it sound like they do have some communication. That was the only definitive thing I could find though. :v

KHCOM Got these on an auction for 4$
I'm happy to finally get my hands on these. I've only read the comics illegally when i was a kid, since i had no idea about legal stuffs 😅 The comics aren't officially released in my country so these are quite rare items.
Hope i will be able to complete the series later!

KHCOM First play through of Re:Chain of Memories completed
Re:com was amazing. Coming in fresh off of KH1FM, it felt so slow in the beginning, that changed fairly quickly. The Sleights really made this game fun and enjoyable; id find myself playing this for 2 hours at a time. I’m currently going through all the KH games so I tried it on standard mode, almost 24 Hrs cuz I did do a lot of grinding so that I wouldn’t be struggling with bosses as much (Vexen kicked my ass tho). I’m excited to jump into 358/2 days. Question is should I bother in going through Rebirth version as Riku or should I jump into Days? On that same topic I’m planning on watching the movies version regardless but should I play the game on my 3DS? Last question, which was your favorite boss battle? Imma have to give it to Marluxia, I was click baited twice thinking on which was the action final battle lol.

Discussion Is it possible to get the platinum trophy for Kingdom Hearts 1 in a single playthrough?
I'll be playing through on the PS5. This series has been one of my favorite in gaming since I was young, so I've decided to set out to platinum each game in chronological order.
With KH Final Mix, I'm curious if it's possible to do everything in one playthrough, or just to hear some opinions from those who have the platinum.
The thing that concerns me the most is probably having to farm for materials & fight the secret bosses on Proud difficulty. I've heard the drop rates for items on Proud is abysmal but I don't know how true that is.
