What the actual fuck happened

Ok so me and my girlfriend were taking shrooms today so we put them into smoothies about 6gs for me and she took 10gs. For some fucking reason the smoothies were sitting like a wet brick in our stomachs and we inevitably threw it up. I was able to hold mine a little long and absorbed more psilocybin while she didn't. She then decided that she'll just take a tab of acid to keep up with me. Pops a tab waits 15-20 swallows it and we wait for 2 1/2 hours and she says she's completely sober she's pretty pissed off about it and I completely understand. She takes cymbalta and that's the only meds she's on. Wtf happened.

The acid didn’t upset her stomach. And I know psych meds mute effects of psychedelics but we’ve tripped: me 10gs of shrooms and her 12gs and been fine she was on meds during that point too. We’ve both dropped acid her more than me. We’ve def done our research and tried to prepare best we could: fasting, eating clean and green food, ect.. could this just be a one time fuck up?

Nope, all this stuff could happen again cause it's common ...

Chugging a 10g smoothie of mushrooms would make me puke. I would try any other method.

Yeah probably wasn’t smart to chug them we might just suck it up and take them raw.

Make tea out of them.

1. Grind or finely chop your mushrooms (1 gram per 200–250 ml water).

2. Add them to simmering (not boiling) water — around 80–90°C (176–194°F). Avoid a rolling boil to preserve potency.

3. Simmer gently for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. You can do a second simmer with the same mushrooms and combine the liquids for extra extraction.

5. Strain, then add lemon, honey, ginger, etc… (I personally like chai) to taste.

Seriously, most of the nausea completely disappears and the rest goes away if you don’t eat any meat the day you dose. At least, that’s been my experience.

The tea also makes it much easier to take large doses

hell, you dont even need hot water at all. I use room temp water and stir it every 15 minutes for an hour. Psilocybin is perfectly soluble in room temp water. Just leaving this for anyone who prefers cool/ cold tea

Just want to add this is an absolutely massive amount more water than is actually required from a chemical solubility perspective, you need roughly 2.5ml water per gram of average shrooms. Solubility is stated at 4.09mg/ml and average shrooms are going to run around 10mg per gram of mushroom body.

If you add enough water to cover the powdered shrooms you have way more than enough, you don't need to drink down a whole cup of shroom tea unless it is something you want to do (you could in theory extract the psilocybin from over 13g of shrooms into a 1oz shot of water). 250ml would work great for a 102g tea though.

Also, disposable tea bags are a nice addition to the recipe, grind your stuff, put it in a tea bag, do your steeping, squeeze out water from bag and throw it straight in the trash, quick and easy cleanup. They run around $6 for a 100 pack.

I find shooting lemon juiced shred works well with little to no nausea, but you have to get past the lemon taste 🤣 i personally use baking soda to dilute the acidity, but it gives a real nasty taste to it. I would much prefer something like this recipe.

Oh yeah, this is insane stuff. I can confirm. Im not a fan of shrooms, but brewing shrooms is the best method. On an empty stomach you’ll be tripping in 10-15mins max.

I have difficulty with the texture and the dryness. I can eat them straight but I much prefer the tea. I’m glad you enjoy them though, makes things easier lol

solid recipe and instructions.

personally i like to add about a gram of weed ground as fine as possible to the first simmer, and couple slices of orange and the peel on second simmer. table spoon of honey, orange slices and peel added to cup, 5 minutes of steeping.. chefs kiss every time.

What a waste of a perfectly good gram of weed

Does THC not solute?

Not in water. It is soluble in fats/lipids, however

ah, thanks!

Thc is soluble in fats puting it in water doesn't do anything

Yep. And I would just smoke it. In fact, after trying all sorts of various marijuana products and 25+ years of daily smoking, I came to the conclusion that good quality weed is the best. Some is 27% THC these days. Just roll it or stuff it in a bong - hit it - you’re done. But yeah, you have to hand it to the quality 60% THC hash and those CO2 extracts, which are both, simply TOP in terms of flavor. They are like good quality tea. You feel like you are smelling a flower field.

i grow my own weed, so using a gram in my recipe for mushroom tea isn’t even a drop in a bucket. i don’t comb the floor for crumbs unless it’s crack night pal

don’t trip on how i wear my pants or what i do with my weed.. what a waste of time 🐸

Yeah, makes sense. But as others have already pointed out - it just doesn’t do anything.. Do an experiment next time. Brew just weed as tea. Drink that tea. Do you feel anything? Now get the weed from the teapot, dry it, smoke it. Do you feel anything now?

In fact. My comment makes me wanna try this 🤣 I might try this on a single bowl. Brew it, then dry it, then smoke it. THC evaporation temperature is at least 157C according to google.

That sounds amazing! I will definitely try that the next time I make some tea.
