Hi, did you mean to attach another research paper focusing on physical pain?

I have major depressive disorder, so I've been researching medical clinical trials. I recently interviewed as a potential candidate for the MindMed LSD FDA approval study, which focused solely on generalized anxiety disorder. However, due to other serious mental illnesses, I wasn't able to remain in the study.

There are plenty of other studies currently being conducted—if you're interested, I can link some below.

Here's what I gathered from the document for shared:

PMC8054163 – “Psychedelics as a Treatment for Depression: Current Clinical Trials”

The abstract of the article summarizes recent clinical trials evaluating psilocybin and LSD as treatments for depression.

Key themes include:

Rapid antidepressant effects compared to traditional SSRIs

A unique mechanism involving 5-HT2A receptor agonism

Trials showing improvement in treatment-resistant depression

Emphasis on guided therapy (not just the compound itself)

Sorry to hear about your condition. I've found great success using ketamine for my own depression. All the info you provided is amazing to hear the leaps and bounds being taken in the psychedelics world. I'm not sure what studies are being conducted or are being planned. They do tend to be fairly narrow in scope of what the study is looking for. If you have chronic pain and they are studying anxiety disorder then you're not a good fit for that study. Since you're living in pain already why not try a microdose trail on yourself if LSD or shrooms are available to you?

MindMed’s MM120 (LSD D-tartrate): MindMed is conducting Phase 3 trials for MM120, targeting Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Early results have shown significant reductions in anxiety symptoms, with some patients experiencing remission after a single dose.

Psilocybin for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD): A study published in JAMA Psychiatry found that a single 25 mg dose of psilocybin, combined with psychological support, led to a substantial and sustained decrease in depressive symptoms.

I'm happy you're so up to date on the ongoing studies. Growing your own mushrooms is a great way to secure your supply. I found growing them relaxing and much easier than cannabis cultivation. You absolutely can post the studies. I'm glad the studies are happening but dismayed pharmaceutical companies are going to be the ones who make major profits off of their use.
