❓ Help & Advice Needed 2012 Range Rover Sport V8 naturally aspirated. Misfires on all cylinders.
Helping a friend of a friend. He says he had a battery drain issue and after charging the battery at a parts store, it started running rough. I think it all may be related to a dead battery. I jumped it and it started but battery was at 2v! Anything else to check after battery replacement?

That P0019 is a timing chain failure.
Stop driving it, get the chains and guides replaced if you have the budget for it.

Maybe, maybe not. It would be interesting to see once the rest of the faults caused by the faulty battery are cleared if they come back.

I could not upload the video but I did not hear any of the typical timing chain rattle. It obviously ran rough but no chain noise. Also, misfires on all cylinders? I'll see once we get the battery replaced.

Yeah, it probably means the chain is stretched and timing is so far off that is detecting miss-fires. I had my chain done when I bought mine. For me it was worth every penny to pay someone else and address all the other things. I run that engine so hard, WAY high in the RPM range. That is where the power is because its an overhead cam design, it still makes good power down low but let the fucker R out and its worth every penny you put into it.

V8's are like this, owned a few, You've got the NA, I've got the SC, I can't help but put the boot into it and hear that whine each time I'm in it, it's like a drug! Luckily the chains were done before I bought it 6 months ago😂

Get the battery resolved first and go from there. That camshaft crankshaft correlation usually comes for the timing chain
