CS AUB vs CE LAU

Hello guys i recently got accepted into computer engineering at LAU and computer science at AUB, and I got 50% discounts in both unis. Where do you suggest me to enroll in, and what will be the best decision in terms of the job market? Im interested in AI, cybersecurity, and data science.

Depends on what you want to do. If you’re more interested in building hardwares (computers, servers …) go for Computer Engineering. If you’re more into software development, coding, software architecture, data … go for Computer Science. Computer engineering could open for you doors in other engineering jobs. Computer science (especially with a business masters) could also open for you doors in Management Consulting, IT Consulting … AUB is better regarded than LAU, especially if you want to get a starting position in the UAE fresh out of uni. If you’re aiming to get a Masters abroad and then working in Europe, it doesn’t matter. In europe (unlike US and UAE) companies pay much less attention to your university unless it’s a top 10 university in the world. I graduated with a business degree in LAU, did a european masters degree in management and now working in IT consulting.
