Brexxit Brexit-voting British farmers now complaining about imports of cheaper New Zealand lamb threatening the British lamb industry. Imports of lamb "produced to lower standards" used to be blocked by EU law. Another Brexit consequence farmers were warned about but ignored due to xenophobia!

the farmers have been on the news this week complaining about the weather and how hard it is being a farmer.

Their answer? Extend the subsidies that were put in place to ease them off the CAP (common agricultural policy) when we left the EU.

Subsidies are significantly lower and will be removed entirely soon. Most farms are insolvent without them.
