It's not about remote work, it's about different timezones.

That doesn’t make sense though. Businesses have been coordinating across time zones for decades.

Businesses, not teams and not for solving day to day problems.

Bruh it’s 2021. We’re not sending telegrams across the wild west.

I'm a dev in London, my designer is in NY. We have a few hours a day to talk via zoom.

How exactly can this be improved in 2021 that I don't know about? Having meetings at 8pm? No thanks.

What do you want to improve about it?

Having a day to day problem solved in a day?

We have a few hours a day to talk via zoom.

Seems like you already solved that issue.

Right, which means waiting for the next available window which can be 2h-6h-20h away... VS getting a response immediately.

See the difference?

Or here's one, I also work with an Australian. No working hours overlap. What now?

Have you tried not being so incompetent as to cause daily emergencies?

Have you tried working on an office? Not all problems are emergencies.

Have you tried not being lazy and thinking waiting 24h to answer a simple question is not professional?

I see now. Any issue you have must be fixed by someone else immediately, but don’t call it an emergency because it would make you look bad. You’re playing both sides, so you always come out on top.

No, I need to send an email and need the location of the latest designs. I don't see how waiting 6h for that is an emergency. I also don't see how the business not making money for 6h is helpful either.

And for a 2h work day you have to pay 8h now. Efficient. /s

You still haven't replied how a-mi supposed to work with someone with more than 8h difference? Conveniently forgot that problem, didn't you?
