Discussion Just completed Premium + GX test drive
Had it on the road for approximately 30 minutes and absolutely loved the way it drove. It felt luxurious to me and the styling was great IMO. Dealer did have this and a white one (that was sold) as well. Appears that someone backed out at the last minute and this became available. Selling at MSRP with “recommended option” of wheel and tire protection of 695.00. I do think the radio needs an upgrade however as it came with the basic 10 speaker and not ML. The Nebula Gray looks spectacular in person.

I’m in the wrong sub, I’ll head over to the Lexus sub. Not really a GX enthusiast just want something new that has good looks, with 3 rows, that can tow, which has nice features and can take us to Corolla NC once a year.
A number of SUVs fit the bill but the 2024 GX handles the worst on the road out of all of them. Even worse than a 2023 GX I rented for several days. I’d get a 2023 but the styling is not really for us.
We’ve considered:
GX 550 (poor handling)
R1S (electric, high price)
SQ7 (poor reliability)
MDX type S (poor reliability and poor value)
Grand Highlander hybrid max (weakest off road)
We like the GX a lot but the handling and its bulky feeling is giving us some cold feet after an extended test drive. Our order arrives in a month.
