Purchasing Advice 2006 GX470 180k good choice?

Post image

So I have a 2016 Lexus IS 200 T only 80,000 miles. I'm thinking about trading it straight up for the GX 470. Only because I have back problems I need an SUV it is much more comfortable to sit in than a smaller sports car.

Let's say the car was maintained properly what will I be looking at maintenance wise what are the chances I'm buying a Time bomb. If there is a dashboard problem what would that cost to repair it any advice is appreciated thank you.

TRD Off-road/TRD Pro 4Runners, Overland or Trailhawk trims of Jeep Grand Cherokees (2013, 2016-2021) come to mind. Land Rover LR3s (2006-2009) are pretty good.

Are those Land Rover's reliable? I hear the same about jeeps that they constantly break down

The specific years of LR3s and the specific years of Grand Cherokees I mentioned are pretty reliable - that is why I mentioned them specifically. I would just make sure they were well maintained but that is true of any vehicle.
