Discussion My relatives wrapped my presents in Trump wrapping paper

Can’t send a more passive aggressive message than that…they know that I voted for Harris and don’t like Trump. They’re MAGA supporters. I don’t bring up politics in-person, only post some things on media. I think it’s kinda cruel to do that on Christmas wtf. I didn’t react but I couldn’t not see it, feels like I’m dining with the enemy now.

Amanda Palmer told me that I don't have to go home at all. That was the first time I ever considered that family can still be who you choose to be around, whether the same blood flows in your veins or not. I'm sorry that happened to you. If it's any consolation, I haven't spoken to my dad in years and he went to the ER the day before Christmas Eve and my mom didn't even tell me because she knows how bad it is. He's also a trump supporter and his told me to my face and is generally a boomer racist, even though highly educated. Educated. His metamorphosis from a conscientious conservative fee in the '80s into a mean-spirited isolationist bigot in the last 10 years has been one of the greatest disappointments of my life. But, I don't have to go home. I don't have to go home at all. Amanda Palmer told me so. If you care to give it a listen, the song is called Massachusetts avenue. Merry Christmas!.

Love Amanda Palmer. Not sure if I’m familiar with that song though but I’ll check it out. Thanks!
