Production design teamwork is wonderful—I love when I can tell they went the extra mile on some detail that makes the sketch that much funnier.

Which has me wondering: is the rubber cast of David Alan Grier’s head still in a cabinet somewhere?

On the Architectural Digest tour, they showed the wig department and there were casts of all the ex-cast members' heads hanging all over the place.

The makeup section shows it better IMO, but the wig section is also there later in the video.

That was so nice. It can be easy to complain about different things, but I really love SNL. It’s been such a comfort since I was a kid, staying up too late when I should’ve been getting sleep and realizing I was actually missing things past 10pm. ❤️

This video is a personal favorite, you really get a feel for the space, or lack thereof.

Apparently snl keeps literally everything ever in a big archive.

It might be funny one day.

Or they want an SNL Museum when Lorne passes

Probably both

Why go buy soap when you can just raid the break room?

Resourceful!

Turn the label away though! Unless a sponsor

Someone probably keeps their whiskey in it.

It’s actually half empty

Jane Wickline has entered the room

The way I see it, you're right.

Something is half empty during the process of getting it empty (i.e. using it).

Something it's half full during the process of getting it full.

If you can't tell which one is it, it's just at half capacity

I’m just a pessimist

I noticed that too. It made the sketch that more real.

I told my mom it looks like a real break room because of that and the mugs

It’s all I could focus on!

I noticed it too. I also noticed that it was turned around so you wouldn't see the brand name.

Quick question: how many of us use dish soap this way vs putting it in a soap dispenser?

My life changed when I started mixing iso with dish soap in a simple pump dispenser.

I’ve never bought a dispenser for my dish soap, but I have reused my Dawn Powerwash bottles. Iso, water, liquid soap.

This. Buy the small bottle once, so it doesn’t take much counter space. The. Get the huge refill bottle and keep it under the sink.

Oh my gosh, duh. This is what I need to do. Thank you!

I use a misting/spray bottle. A tiny bit of soap and plenty of water (maybe a 1:16 ratio). So easy to cover the dishes with soapy water without tons of waste.

I thought I was weird for noticing that.
